I did. There are two directions we could have gone with my character. There was the predictable direction, which I disagreed with, and I voiced it. And I was asked [what I thought], which is great, to get to a point in a series where my opinion was valued. I was asked what I thought. We talked about it at length, and after some discussion, we decided to go in the other direction. Usually the show is defying what's predictable and doing what I don't expect. I thought you were going to say, "There were two directions for the character and they took the less predictable one." That's my point, if you think about it. It depends on whose perspective you're talking about. For some people, the direction it goes might be predictable, for others it might not. But your sense was, it would feel more resonant, feel more right, if it went in a different direction? Exactly. Well, how cool is it that you were asked what you thought? It touches my heart. I was a young green kid [when the show started]. The whole "Battlestar" experience was unusual. "We're a happy family" -- you hear actors on shows say that all the time. Every single director who came on the set told us, they've never seen anyone as close as us.
