Would you prefer to live in a traditional house or in a modern apartment building? =========================================================================== A garden paved with grass, without the steels separate the sky, that is the first sight came to my mind when I think of the traditional house. I would prefer to live in a traditional house just as I would prefer to choose a place having fewer rules to obey. A traditional house can display exterior look that is designed by inhabitants, which may be limited in a modern apartment building. I could freely change the color and materials of the walls outside the house, deciding where to construct a window if I lived in a traditional house. It is the traditional house that can provide people a unique and characteristic living place. The regular appearance and the same style of each apartment layer are modern apartment buildings’ features. Obviously, there is less free for residents to show their own cultures. Moreover, the traditional houses are usually less crowded than the modern apartments. A modern apartment building, in my opinion, it is like a small cell of a comb. Many modern apartments may have a balcony besides the living room, but the balcony is usually much smaller than the garden of a traditional house. It can’t be paved with grass or soils for the reason of it may cause downstairs to water leakage. Needless to say that people should pay much attention to the drips or even the soils falling from the potted plants, which are hung on the balcony, to the passers-by. The small habits or behaviors of residents may affect their neighbors much more than them of the traditional house. For instants, people can’t dance in their apartment, or the footsteps will bother the residents of downstairs. After a tired work in the school or office, people go home for a rest. I would feel more unconstrained in a traditional house than in a modern apartment. I can freely do sport such as aerobic dancing to relax my mind without fear of bothering neighbors. When I see the house’s appearance that designed by myself, the pleasant feeling and satisfaction burst from my mind can remove all my tiredness. That‘s why I prefer to live in a traditional house. --
