According to the economic rules, the more is not definitely the better. It’s not clear to concentrate so much effort on computer technology. Maybe it would lead to results not so good as human could expect. Meanwhile, there might be urgent basic requirements deserving immediate economical resources, like universal health care insurance, or national bailout to the victims of subprime mortgages. Following explains why I support the second thought described in the topic. As it is widely known, the benefits may decline when too many resources are concentrated on certain events or development. Too much money spending on increasing numbers or functions of desktop computers could reach certain saturated condition. For example, if one computer is enough for one child in an elementary school, it doesn’t make sense to purchase one thousand computers for a school only capable of one hundred children. The additional nine hundred computers suddenly turn out to be a kind of waste. In addition, it is believed that there should be much more depravity deserving economic aids right away. As anyone can see on daily newspapers that not everyone is under coverage of universal health care insurance, it is a shortage of health protection. It’s really tough to imagine that a small kid may suffer from certain disease just because of not being included in the insurance. To conclude, although computer technologies have brought us a very convenient life, we can’t neglect other basic needs for human, just like national insurance or something else.
