Some people say that the Internet provides people with a lot of valuable information. Others think access to so much information creates problems. Which view do you agree with? Use specific reasons and examples to support your opinion. ============================================================================== Some people believe that the Internet is very harmful for our life. Some people spend lots of time surfing the Internet, and some teenage can use the access to receive some inappropriate and illegal information easily. However, I believe that the advantages of the Internet are more than the shortcomings of it. By the way, I think that the Internet give us a useful way to search some important information. The issue of on-line courses and Yahoo Knowledge illustrate why it is. To begin with, nowadays, more and more university set lots of on-line courses for those people who have to work or live in other country. For example, the on-line course of MIT is the most popular long-distance education system in Taiwan. Many Taiwanese can find some lectures which they interest in the system, and attend the lectures by the Internet. For example, I ever found a MIT professor who illustrates some concepts about Al Gore's "An Inconvenient Truth". From the lecture, I understood more details than the document movie provides. Due to the internet, we own the easy way to find some valuable information. On the other hand, if without the Internet, it is impossible for Taiwanese to attend those classes and learn some useful knowledge. Additionally, Yahoo Knowledge is another popular website which people can find lots of information from it. Many people can ask some questions on it and wait for others to solve those questions. Moreover, we also can find some useful solution for our questions, because some people ever discussed the similar questions. For example, I always find some computer information from it. Because my major is not related to computer science, I usually need to use computer to deal with lots of things in our lives, but sometimes there are some little problems happened in my computer. If I ask the help from my friend, and I have to wait for that he has the free time to fix it. Or I can bring my computer to computer company in order to fix it. However, the two methods are not efficient, so I always find the solutions from Yahoo Knowledge. The way is more efficient and convenient. Therefore, people can find lots of valuable information from Yahoo Knowledge. In conclusion, though the Internet really cause some problems which are harmful for our societies. On the other hand, the Internet also provides the access to us finding some crucial information. Without the Internet, it is impossible for us to find those useful and valuable information and knowledge so quickly and conveniently. --
