Use reasons and specific examples to support your choice. ============================================================================== If my country, Taiwan, makes a decision to build a statue or monument in order to honor a person who everyone knows. I think that the best candidate is C. M. Wang, the pitcher of New York Yankees. Wang is not only the Taiwanese's most favorite baseball player but also the hero of the residents in New York. My supporting ideas are as below and illustrate why it is. To begin with, the most representative and popular sport in Taiwan is baseball. All Taiwanese are baseball fanatics, and always sit in front of the television in order to watching some important baseball games like those baseball games in Olympic and Wang's games. And Taiwanese get their happiness and satisfaction from seeing their favorite team, Chinese Taipei, and their favorite player, Wang, having the great recording or achievement. In the past two years, Wang acquired double 19 wins in his pitching career. Taiwanese are really excited by this brilliant recording. We often spend our time to watching Wang's games rather than sleeping in the mid night. But, Wang's nice play is like a nutritional pill to give us energy and stamina facing the job or other thing in tomorrow. Moreover, Wang also give everybody confidence to overcome any difficult. MLB is like an Asia-player desert, but Wang prove that if you willing to improve yourself, and you will have the chance stand on the top stage of the world. Wang is not only an excellent player but also a important person who always inspire us to do better. Additionally, it is no doubt that Taiwan always faces some difficulties in the stage of the world, especially some diplomatic problems. We can show our country flag in some public occasions, we are not allowed to enter U. N. and some important international institutes like World Health Organization. However, Wang try his best to tell the whole residents in the global village where Taiwan is. For example, in the 2007 playoff, one of the most popular television programs in America, FOX, makes a special project to introduce Taiwan, Wang's country, to every audience. And Taiwanese are also able to show our country flag in the Yankees Field. Although, Wang is just a baseball player, he really makes some diplomatic breakthrough for Taiwan. Our government always try to do something alleviate our diplomatic crisis, but Wang do more than our government. It is no doubt that he is the best advertisement of Taiwan. In conclusion, C. M. Wang is not just an excellent baseball player but also do lot of thing for Taiwan. Moreover, he show his country, Taiwan, to everyone in the world. For the reason, I believe that Wang is the most deserved person who get the honor. We can use the honor to show our appreciation to Wang. --
