I disagree with that the best way to travel is a group led by a tour guide. My family and I often travel around either in Taiwan or other countries. Those traveling experiences make me know the inconvenience of group tour and unnecessary of a tour guide. The members of group tour may not be the people you familiar with. There would be diversity in personality and lifestyle between members. Some problems results from it. For example, being on time is one of important factors to have a wonderful tour. Time control to a group of people is not that easy, especially when tourists are in a exciting activity. Delay of schedule leads to another delay and also cancellation of other activities. You have to do some compromise in a group tour. On the other hand, well planed is the key point of the tour. The information is easy to reach through web surfing or tour guiding book in nowadays. We can check out in advance the history, culture, even though the cuisine of the place you plan to go. Then we would know which spot is worth to go and how to go there. Experiences from other tourists could help prevent problems. The more information we get, the more fun would we have in the trip. So we don’t have to pay for the tour guide. From the reasons above, we can find out that group tour is not convenient for everyone, and well planed before traveling is much more important than a good tour guide. In my opinion, a group tour lead by a tour guide may not be the best way of traveling. 請多指教 --
