Then he did. Matt Barnes was in the locker room. Then he was gone. Robin Lopez was going to start. Then he didn't play. Minutes before Wednesday's tip-off, Barnes learned of a family emergency and left for the Bay Area. Meanwhile, O'Neal had put in an arduous pregame workout to stay sharp because he was going to have a prescribed night off. Suddenly, O'Neal was back in the lineup and Grant Hill was starting. "Shaq didn't prepare to play all day," Suns guard Steve Nash said. "To get thrown in there like that at the end was difficult. We started out aptly poor." ．．． O'Neal has averaged 53 games over the past three seasons. The "big-picture" idea was to hold him out because of back-to-back games and the type of big men Indiana has. "Our whole plan of attack is trying to eliminate the situation where he missed 20 games or 25 games," Porter said. "We're hoping these little breaks keep his body fresh. Keep him in shape to play more games than he's played in the past." 看來這場對溜馬的比賽 Shaq 本來是預定不會上場的，但是因為 Barnes 臨時因為 家庭因素而離開，才在賽前更動先發名單。 也因為這樣，所以這場他才會突然打得那麼糟 XD Shaq 過去三年只平均出賽 53 場。 Porter 說：" 我們整個計畫是想要徹底解決 Shaq 每年缺席 20-25 場比賽的情況， 我們希望這種小放假能夠保持他的健康和狀態，比過去出賽更多的場次。" 所以可以預估以後 back to back 的比賽，Shaq 上場的時間可能都會受到控制，甚 至會挑對手放假。希望這樣的做法真的有效，能夠完全健健康康的打完今年！ * Shaq 加入太陽後，從去年明星賽後開始出賽至今，只缺席過一場比賽，而那場比 賽正是 back to back 的比賽。 --
