Because of concerns about Yorvit Torrealba's multiple shoulder injuries, Colorado aggressively chased Barajas, who hit 21 home runs in 2005. Barajas chose the Phillies over the Rockies on Wednesday, signing a one-year, $2.5-million deal, pending a physical. His agent said Tuesday night that Barajas was still considering Colorado. However, Philadelphia is breaking in a young catcher and offers the potential for more playing time. --
