He can hit for power, has good speed and is a very good defensive player. That said, sources have already told me that Matthews will be looking for $8 million annually based on the $7 million per season that Randy Winn received earlier this year. Don't be surprised if somebody pays Matthews $32 million over four years - but it won't be the Rockies.
