O'Dowd feels tha t it wouldn't benefit Tsao culturally to get used to an additional city (Colora do Springs) when the benefit to his growth may be minimal. === The Rockies, with one spot open on the 40-man roster, could fill Jones' spot in a trade involving him or promote a veteran from the Sky Sox such as Brad Clont z, Matt Miller or Darensbourg. O'Dowd said there also have been discussions abo ut switching lanes with promising starters in the minor leagues: Cook, Jason Yo ung, Cory Vance and Tsao Chin-hui, whom O'Dowd indicated could go directly to t he majors from Double-A. Cook broke in as a reliever last summer. At this stage of his development, he m ight be better suited for a bullpen role because he has yet to refine his chang eup. Tsao, arguably the Rockies' top prospect, is the most intriguing name.
