Omer Asik fined $5,000 for flopping vs. Spurs

The NBA fined Omer Asik $5,000 on Thursday for his second anti-flopping
violation of the season.
Both his violations this season came against the Spurs. He was warned for a
flop in December, which meant his second offense would earn a fine. Both
plays came with Asik matched against Tim Duncan.

Here is the NBA’s new fine schedule for flopping:
Violation 2: $5,000 fine
Violation 3: $10,000 fine
Violation 4: $15,000 fine
Violation 5: $30,000 fine
After that, a player will be subject to further fines and/or suspension.
