近期活躍於 ABC 電視節目「Dancing with the Stars」的 Toni Braxton，在與前東家 Blackground Records 決裂訴訟近三年後，最近終於確定花落華納集團旗下 Atlantic Records，並籌備錄製個人最新專輯。 目前有的小道消息是首支單曲為「Touch Me (There)」，找來 Lil' Wayne 跨刀，歌曲 由 Toni 和 Ne-Yo 共同譜寫、Danja 製作，應該會在下個月問世；新專輯則預計是2009 年上半年發行。 Toni Braxton Signs New Deal With Atlantic Records Six-time Grammy winning singer Toni Braxton has signed a new recording contract with Atlantic Records. Braxton is currently a contestant on the hit ABC series ‘Dancing with the Stars.’ She signed the deal with Atlantic recently and has been selecting producers and songs to begin recording her CD while competing on DWTS. Braxton was signed to Laface Records for 12 years and left when Laface was sold to Zomba. She then signed a deal with Blackground Records which was home to artists such as Aaliyah and Tank. Blackground is owned by Aaliyah's uncle, Barry Hankerson. Hankerson has long been involved in the music industry as a manager for artists such as R. Kelly. Hankerson also served as Braxton’s manager which presented a conflict of interest which was exposed when Braxton filed a $10 million lawsuit against him. The suit alleged fraud, deception and misappropriation of funds. Braxton recorded one album for Blackground which was 2005’s Libra. The deal with Atlantic comes as welcome news for fans of the Atlanta beauty. Braxton won the hearts of millions with songs from her debut album such as "Love Shoulda Brought You Home" and "Breathe Again" which were written and produced by Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds. Fans of the singer are hoping for a reunion of the two because Braxton's best work was done with Edmonds.
