Hawk faces fine for foul that caused Toronto guard to hit head on floor Toronto guard T.J. Ford to spend a night in an Atlanta hospital under observation. But Ford did his very best to ease Horford's mind when the two spent time together at the hospital late Tuesday night. Ford was released Wednesday morning and on a noon flight home to Toronto to join his teammates before Thursday night's game against Dallas. "T.J. was real cool," Horford said Wednesday afternoon after the Hawks wrapped up a day of treatment and individual workouts at Philips Arena. "Thank God he's doing better and he went home and everything. We spent some good time together and we just talked about the game and a lot of other stuff. He told me that he understood I didn't do it intentionally or anything like that. It was a really good visit." Horford was called for a flagrant foul 2 on the play and automatically ejected from the game. He could face further disciplinary action from the league office, but seemed much more concerned about Ford than he was any potential fallout from the league. "At this point," Horford said, "I'm just glad that he's doing better and that he acknowledged what my intentions were. That and the fact that he's back with his team is the most important thing to come out of all of this. If the league feels like something has to be done or a statement needs to be made, than that's just something I'll have to deal with." He won't deal with it alone, though. His teammates and coaches were all there for him Wednesday, making sure the rookie recovers properly , as well. "We're all going to be here for him," said Hawks coach Mike Woodson. "And I wanted to make sure Al understood that, because this is something that could have happened to anybody. And things happened just the way he said, he wasn't trying to do that intentionally. But the main thing is that T.J. is fine and was able to leave the hospital and return to his team." --
