ARLINGTON -- The Rangers could be without shortstop Elvis Andrus for a period of time after he suffered a sprained left wrist during Friday's game against the Mets. Andrus, who was 2-for-2 with a sacrifice in three plate appearances, injured the wrist in the fifth inning after an RBI single gave the Rangers a 4-0 lead. He then stole second and injured the wrist with a headfirst slide. Andrus had to come out of the game, and Andres Blanco took over at shortstop. "He's OK," said Rangers manager Ron Washington after the game. "He'll just be day to day. He just sprained his wrist a little bit and turned it over. He'll be fine. I don't see the DL." Andrus said he won't play Saturday, and it may be Tuesday in Houston before he gets back in the lineup. "We'll see. We'll just have to wake up tomorrow, see how it is and let the doctor tell me what's going on. I don't know how long it it will take."
