Nelson Cruz, Josh Hamilton expected to start rehab assignments next week By EVAN GRANT Published 14 May 2011 08:43 PM If outfielder Nelson Cruz comes through another workout on Sunday with no lingering quadriceps issues, he’s expected to begin a rehab assignment Monday with Double-A Frisco. He’d likely play four or five games there before being activated sometime during the Rangers’ trip to Philadelphia next weekend. Outfielder Josh Hamilton could start his rehab late next week if he is cleared following a mid-week CT scan.
