We will have 6 sessions covering topics such as evolution & perception of music, music & the brain, functions of music preferences, and music therapy, and so on. In the introductory meeting we are not yet talking about specific topics. On Feb 25 we only discuss WHAT dates, WHAT topics, and some other WHATs and HOWs. All relevant information will also be posted online and sent out through the email list. So you don’t need to be there….anyway, the workshop is voluntary, there are no strings attached, you don’t need to talk during the workshop, you don’t need to listen during the workshop, you don’ t need to wear clothes at the workshop - oh, hang on, cut the last part ;). We are creating a workshop for those who are interested in music and its links to human psychology – there are many links – the human cannot be disconnected from music and vice versa. If you want to, you can participate, provide input, share your experience with music during the workshop and online. Before each workshop, we will send out a description of the workshop and we may ask you for some input, e.g., to ask specific questions about a topic. This way we can cover the points you are mostly interested in. Furthermore, we may invite you to participate in some research, e.g., a survey or a music experiment – remember, all is voluntary and you can freely decide to participate or not – of course this is all anonymous. Some of the sessions will introduce the research that we invite you to participate in.
