Report: Allen Iverson leaves Grizzlies to deal with personal issue

Allen Iverson was granted permission to leave the Memphis Grizzlies to deal
with a personal matter, according to a report in the Memphis Commercial
Appeal.
Iverson met with Grizzlies owner Michael Heisley twice over the past 24 hours
before leaving for Atlanta earlier today, the newspaper reported.
Iverson lives in Atlanta in the offseason.
Iverson has played in three games this season, averaging 22 minutes while
coming off the bench for the Grizzlies. Earlier this week, Iverson complained
about having to come off the bench for the Grizzlies, a role he was unhappy
with last season in Detroit.
“Go look at my resume and that will show you that I’m not a sixth man,” he
said following a loss to Sacremento on Monday.
