Gerstner / The Detroit News AUBURN HILLS -- Pistons rookie guard Rodney Stuckey sometimes wonders if this is all a dream. He's really playing in the NBA -- this isn't just a very realistic fantasy. "I do that every day, when I am at home, I'm like, 'Man, I can't believe I am in this position right now,'?" Stuckey said after Tuesday's practice. "I'm here for a reason, and I am going to take advantage of it." Pistons coach Flip Saunders has been testing Stuckey and rookie guard Arron Afflalo, letting them experience game situations and seeing their response. So far, Saunders is pleased with Stuckey's development. "He's shown the ability in open-floor situations to create at the rim, he's been very good as far as making free throws," Saunders said. "The negatives are the same as any young guy -- he's like a young quarterback. They need to learn when to go, when not to go. And learning to run, at times, a set offense. Missing in action The Pistons will not play Amir Johnson (ankle), Nazr Mohammed (calf), and Rip Hamilton (ankle) against the Nuggets tonight in Grand Rapids. Johnson and Mohammed worked out with strength and conditioning coach Arnie Kander . Mohammed also did some light shooting after practice. Hamilton did not work out, instead taking treatment.
