The film, Carmen is based only on the script of the opera, Carmen.
However, there's no passionate Carmen music, no spiritual song of the bull-
fighter; Carmen in the film was exotic, but not passionate.
It would be a worth seeing movie if i hadn't seen the opera Carmen.
At the end of the movie, Carmen was nude, bleeding on the floor of the church
just like a dying cow.
It was certainly not a beautiful scene that could ever occur in an opera.
Anyway, it is still a movie that i will recommend.
