小弟今年暑假在IEEE conference on Multimedia發表過一篇paper, 然後最近收到一封來自IEEE Trans. on Multimedia的信 邀請我把那篇paper整理一下投到 Transaction 去, (conference的chair也是transaction的chief editor) 小弟的問題是, 這樣子投過去算是invited paper嗎? 如果是, 那代表有投搞就會上嗎? 不曉得各位有沒有遇過類似的情況呢? 謝謝 以下附上此信原文 ------ With this email, we would like to draw your attention to an invitation from the IEEE Transactions on Multimedia, to consider extending your high quality work you presented in ICME06 and submitting them the Transactions. The IEEE Transactions on Multimedia is a publication sponsored equally by the IEEE Circuits and Systems, IEEE Communications, IEEE Computer, and IEEE Signal Processing Societies. Since it was founded 8 years ago, the Transactions has seen tremendous improvement, thanks to the support from the multimedia community and especially many of you in ICME community. The Transactions has become the primary venue for us to publish high quality papers . Thanks to the hard works of all associate editors and reviewers, the Transactions has Shorten significantly the review cycle now. Also, with its increasing popularity, the Transactions has evolved from 4 issues a year in the first 4 years to 6 issues a year at present and will be published in 8 issues a year in 2007! With the increased page budget and publishing frequency, we have effectively Shortened the queue to publication for accepted papers from about 2 years in 2004 to around 3 months today after a paper is finally accepted and all material are received. This progress makes the Transaction an ideal venue for researchers and Ph.D students in particular to bring their high quality research work to our community in full detail and with thorough peer reviews.
