I quite like the word, effeciency, or saving time, because it covers so many pretty dirty things happening in the laboratories, relating the publich money coming from a hand to another, or even related to some fake results or whatever, isn't. Why can your boss 'has' more money? I won't give any comment if the money is from his salary or industries. Somebody got to worry about how the money gone in these situations, not me. However, if the money is from the government, and somebody spends it too quick, just because somebody wants to save some time or don't want to bother to check every details of the purchasing processes. I won't say this is correct. I am not saying your boss is spending money incorrectly, however, I cannot assure there is nobody doing such dirty jobs and I don't think you can. Why not get everything governed clearly? by regulation. Something you might think it is clever, and it can be, and also can be very stupid. How about... You can ask a big bargin and they give your very bad quality stuffs? Is this helpful? for your paper or thesis? It can also be you pay much more money for a not-so-expensive stuff. Are you really happy with this? (If I am a taxpayer, I won't be happy.) : 實驗室所有成員也算是個整體, 大家分工實驗室裡的事也是常有的事, : 有人管帳 有人管儀器 等等, 今天若你被分到管 isotope : 你可以跟他說 "嘿! lerudit 在版上說學生不該做這些事的耶" 就撤手不管嗎? Haha.. You can suggest, although I don't think it would work. I personally don't like student starts a statement by XXX saying YYY, even that is definitely correct. Everything has a reason, and you got to think and say why.... A correct statement usually is not because who said it's correct. Right, back to the topic. It is true that every student has their duties in a laboratory. Have you ever thought what sort of duties are suitable for students? Certainly, I recognise public funding is not and you think it is ---- this is the disagreement. Make it clear, OK? : 每個實驗室有每個實驗室自己的 run 法... 硬說你說的制度比較棒 實在沒道理. : 另外歐洲系統有他們自己的問題與缺點, 不一定就比台灣的情況好.
