"黃蜂是16支對洛杉磯快艇隊的非限制自由球員-Bobby Simmons 有興趣的球隊之一" "We've talked a little about Bobby Simmons, but everything is preliminary right now," Bartelstein said regarding discussions with the Hornets. "He's a very sought-after guy and was the league's Most Improved Player." "我們談論了一些關於Bobby Simmons的事情,但所有的事情才剛開始而已" "他是一個非常受歡迎的球員,並且曾經是聯盟最佳進步獎得主" Hornets general manager Allan Bristow has said one of the team's biggest needs is obtaining a small forward. Simmons, who averaged 16.1 points last season, is considered to be the top available free-agent small forward. 我們的GM說球隊非常需要一個小前鋒 Simmons上一季的平均得分有16.1分,在自由球員裡是最好且可以得到的小前鋒 Last week, the Hornets re-signed small forward Bostjan Nachbar, but they are likely to pursue another player to solidify the spot. 上個星期,球隊續簽了小前鋒-Bostjan Nachbar, 但是我們很可能去追求其他的球員來補小前鋒的洞。 Bartelstein also represents free-agent point guard Dan Dickau. The agent said he has had only preliminary talks with the Hornets about him. Dickau said last week he would explore offers from other teams and wants a chance to become a starter. WANTED: The Los Angeles Lakers are reportedly interested in rehiring Hornets assistant coach Jim Cleamons. The Lakers have not yet asked for permission to interview Cleamons, team officials said. 傳言指出湖人隊對於我們的助理教練 Jim Cleamons有興趣 球團人士表示 "湖人隊還未徵求Cleamons的同意" Lakers coach Phil Jackson, who was rehired last month, is trying to put together his staff and is looking mainly at assistants who have worked for him. Cleamons was an assistant on Jackson's staff with the Chicago Bulls and Lakers. "It's something they'll have to talk to Allan and Mr. (George) Shinn about," Hornets coach Byron Scott said. "I think we've got a great staff, so I don't want to lose him. There's no doubt about that, but we'll have to see what happens." FULLY STAFFED: Besides Scott and his assistants, also in Las Vegas this week are Bristow, vice president of basketball operations Willis Reed and director of player personnel Jeff Bower. Besides evaluating Hornets players, they are also scouting free agents participating in the Vegas summer league. "If there is somebody that we're interested in, we'll definitely take a look at him," Scott said. "I think that's what summer league is all about -- No. 1, to get your young players more experience, and No. 2, to look at some other free agents." MASTER P: New Orleans rapper Percy "Master P" Miller is on the Sacramento Kings' summer league team competing in Las Vegas. In the Kings' 81-75 loss in Wednesday's opening game against the Phoenix Suns, Miller did not play. --
