Tomjanovich was diagnosed with bladder cancer in March 2003 and a month later he resigned as coach. Tomjanovich said last October he was free of the disease after several biopsies showed no signs of cancer. Tomjanovich led the Rockets to consecutive NBA championships in 1994 and 1995. He spent 33 years in the organization as a player, scout and coach. --
