Nash is on pace to lead the league in assist average in his sixth different season, second-most in NBA history (John Stockton-9). His assist average is the highest by a player his age in NBA history (prev. 8.7, Stockton, 2000-01). Nash’s scoring output is the highest by a player his age since the 2002-03 season in which both Jordan (20.0) and Malone (20.6) averaged better than 20 points. Nash owns the sixth-highest field goal percentage in the NBA this season (.559), highest among all NBA guards, and territory that few guards in league history have touched. Only 10 guards have shot better than 55 percent from the floor in NBA history and none has done so after the age of 30. The last point guard to do so overall was Stockton in 1987-88 when he was 25. Nash is also connecting on 45.5 percent of his three-point attempts, 10th-best in the NBA, and the second-highest mark of his career (.470, 2007-08). On Feb. 1, Nash became the Suns’ all-time leader in assists, passing Ring of Honor member Kevin Johnson. Johnson had held the record since April 2, 1993. Suns fans, Bring Your Game Face!
