標題[請益] 記憶體規格的限制與採購問題

最近入手了一張 Intel S1200 KP 主機板, 可支援到 16GB 記憶體
已經有一顆 Xeon E3 CPU, 目前計畫購入 ECC 記憶體 8GB x2
不過在Intel 網站上的記憶體相容測試表中沒有提到8GB記憶體

目前測試過用一般Desktop Non-ECC 的記憶體 4GBx2 可以正常開機使用
網路上幾乎沒有提到使用 8GB x2的使用狀況
在主機板的說明書有關記憶體部分提到
The board has two DIMM sockets and supports the following memory features:
* 1.5 V DDR3 DRAM DIMMs with gold plated contacts.
* Two independent memory channels with interleaved mode support
*
Unbuffered, single-sided or double-sided DIMMs with the following
restriction:
Double-sided DIMMs with x16 organization are not supported.
*
16 GB maximum total system memory (with 4 Gb memory technology). Refer
to Section 2.1.1 on page 25 for information on the total amount of
addressable memory.
* Minimum recommended total system memory: 512 MB
* ECC and Non-ECC DIMMs
* Serial Presence Detect
* DDR3 1333 MHz and DDR3 1066 MHz DRAM DIMMs

是指什麼樣的限制呢?
黃色的部分
16 GB maximum total system memory (with 4 Gb memory technology).
的 4GB memory technology 又是什麼?

如果上面的限制是指記憶體顆粒數的限制, 這支是36個顆粒,看起來好像支援 @@
