我是原po 最近才發現我犯了很嚴重的錯誤 我一開始預計十二月畢業 必修都修掉了 但由於一些私人因素 我決定再待一陣子 因為系上可寫可不寫論文 所以我想說那我就去寫碩士論文好了 延到八月畢業 老師也答應收我 抱著這樣的想法安逸了很久 這學期跟老師詳談之後 發現老師作的題目太理論 不是我想要的 找其他教授又被拒絕 所以這幾天心情一亂 就忙著先找課來修 至少先維持九學分 以免被遣返 昨天匿名寫信給International Student Office 卻得到了這樣的回應 Please come in and meet with your international student adviser. You pose some complicated scenarios, but generally, you should apply for graduation and graduate in the semester in which you qualify for graduation. In order to qualify for OPT, you must file with USCIS prior to the end of the semester. Any additional coursework that you may take would not therefore count toward a degree requirement and would be considered supplemental. If you chose this option, make sure that your adviser is aware of that you plan to take a course because the campus computer will try to send your registration to SEVIS and we have to keep the notice of registration from going to SEVIS so that your OPT will not cancel. The beginning date of OPT must be within 60 days of completing your degree, but most importantly, you have to apply with USCIS BEFORE completion. Once again, please come in and discuss all of your options with an adviser who will have your file and transcript in front of them when advising you. All the best, xxx 一時間完全慌了 超怕被抓包 馬上就去系上改了concentration 至少有理由待下來 但我現在不知道該如何八月畢業了 我不可能修得完新的concentration 系上暑假也沒開graduate level的課 等於我整個得待到明年十二月 整整多一年 2/11要填畢業日期了 我現在想到的方案就是 1. 回去跟老師作論文 修research學分 盡量延到八月 但是得先跟系上申請寫論文畢業 (系主任是大陸人 難搞 唉) 2. 申請八月畢業 到時後再說我想轉回原concentration 完全不確定可行度 3. 如果現在去申請十二月畢業 就沒有OPT了 我暑假在美國作的intern老闆聖誕節時寫信給我 歡迎我回去 要不要先找他算了.. 去年暑假時他說過他想開發台灣市場 不知道他現在怎計畫就是了 真是不好意思 寫了一堆 沒想到突然有這麼多變數 每天看這個板的我還以為自己都準備好了... 希望大家能給我點建議 謝謝!! --
