As dotmusic reported yesterday, the long-time rivals had been seen hugging backstage at the Q Awards, with Damon even telling reporters that he "really respects" the Oasis frontman. However, Gallagher quickly tired of the politeness and decided to provoke ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^“厭倦了這樣的禮數/禮貌” Damon at the aftershow party that evening. According to a UK tabloid, Gallagher spotted the Damon at the bar of Just St. James and delivered a half-hour verbal attack. Liam allegedly pinned the singer against the bar, angry at Albarn's invitation for the Oasis singer to join the Gorillaz: "I don't know why you said I was joining that f****** band, because I'm f****** not."
