nme review October 8 - posted by xander The first London gig rocked OASIS performed three new songs and were joined by PAUL WELLER on the first night of a 'low-key' tour of small UK clubs last night (October 7) to celebrate 10 years as a live band. 昨晚(十月七日)在倫敦揭開了“低調”小型十年紀念演唱會的第一場。 呵 Paul Weller 老伯回應頭子之前的插花，這次也來擔任嘉賓。 哦有三首新歌獨家在這演唱會發表哦！ The group, who made their live debut on August 18 1991 at the Manchester Boardwalk, performed a two hour set as part of a two night residency at the London Shepherd's Bush Empire. The venues were chosen rather than their usual arena sized jaunts as a thank-you to their fans, and were the first time the group have performed venues this size in the UK since 1994. 這次特意選在自 '94 年以來沒演出的小型場地，做為純粹回饋歌迷的饗宴。 Weller joined the group for an anthemic version of 'Champagne Supernova' towards the end of the group's performance, which consisted of fan favourites and classic singles. The group also found time to premiere three new songs likely to feature on their forthcoming, as yet untitled record. 'The Hindu Times', sung by Liam, is based around a sampled drum loop, 'One Way Road' is performed by his brother Noel and features a possible reference to his beloved Beatles in the lyric "Like diamonds in the sky", while the final track premiered 'Hung In A Bad Place is a short guitar-heavy song reminiscent of The Stooges or MC5.
