A.I. an All-Star, Melo out ... for now

Nuggets guard Allen Iverson was named Thursday to his eighth All-Star team,
while Nuggets forward Carmelo Anthony was snubbed by Western Conference
coaches. But there is still a chance Anthony could be named to the team by
NBA commissioner David Stern.
金塊後衛Allen Iverson星期四被選入準備參加他的第八次明星賽，但是前鋒甜瓜被
西區教練群給冷落了。不過甜瓜還是有機會被NBA總裁-大衛史騰選入明星賽。
The other West All-Star reserves selected were forwards Dirk Nowitzki of
Dallas, Carlos Boozer of Utah and Shawn Marion of Phoenix, guards Steve Nash
of Phoenix and Tony Parker of San Antonio and center Amare Stoudemire of
Phoenix.
其他被選入西區明星隊的包括前鋒群小牛的Dirk，猶他的Boozer，太陽的Marion。後
衛包括太陽隊的Nash，馬刺的Parker，還有太陽隊中鋒Amare。
"They penalized (Anthony) for his suspension," TNT analyst Charles Barkley
said after the network announced the reserves.
"都是因為甜瓜的禁賽吧!"TNT球評巴爵士在名單宣布後表示。
Now, Stern is in the interesting position of having to name one or perhaps
two replacements. The NBA, after all, suspended Anthony for 15 games for his
role in a Dec. 16 brawl.

局畢竟將甜瓜禁賽了15場，因為12月16日的那拳。
Stern will have to replace injured starting center Yao Ming of Houston and
perhaps Utah forward Carlos Boozer. But, in an interview with the Salt Lake
Tribune, Boozer would not rule himself out of the Feb. 18 game despite
suffered a leg fracture last weekend that is expected to keep him out
four-to-five weeks.
史騰必須找人代替受傷的姚明，還有Boozer可能也不能上場。但是根據鹽湖城論壇的
訪問，Boozer不排出2月18出場比賽，儘管他上個週末才把腳弄斷了而且要休息4~5週。

"It's up for the commissioner to say, `I did forgive and I did forget,'" TNT
analyst Kenny Smith said on the air about Anthony's situation. "Is the
commissioner going to forgive and forget.'"

The Eastern Conference reserves are George Washington High and University of
Colorado product Chauncey Billups of Detroit; Richard Hamilton of Detroit;
and Jason Kidd of New Jersey at guards; Vince Carter of New Jersey; Jermaine
O'Neal of Indiana Caron Butler of Washington and Dwight Howard of Orlando at
forwards.
