標題[名宿] Kelly：小老弟們聽好了

在1991～92球季以絕殺氣走港嘴，避免紐卡降入第三級聯賽，
並隨即在隔年幫助紐卡升超，讓泰恩河畔不再缺席頂級聯賽的名宿 David Kelly（5X），
日前接受鏡報好記者 Lee Ryder 的專訪，暢談對這支新紐卡的看法：
"I've said it for years:
playing up at Newcastle is one of the best places to play for any player.
You are so well backed and what you give on the pitch comes back to you
from the stands.
「無論誰在紐卡效力，就等同於在世界上最棒的地方效力－－這句話我講過不少次。」
「你可以得到球迷們幾近完美的支持。在場上出多少力，看臺上就會挺你幾分。」
"The Geordie fans really look after you in that sense
and you can use it to help you achieve results.
「在任何情況下，喬迪人們都會關注你、支持你，而你就能用這些力量來追求榮耀。」
"It's a real passion up in Newcastle and the lifestyle is very much
about the team. The progress of the club reflects the mood in the city.
「紐卡城的熱情是獨一無二的，市民的生活態度也和球隊息息相關。」
「球隊的表現如何，整個城市的情緒就會隨之上下起伏。」
關於現在這些紐卡少年郎的表現..
"If the team can continue to gel this season
they will see the backing continue and they can really enjoy it."
「如果本季隊中這些（球員們）能夠繼續相互融合，他們會不斷得到更多支持，
而他們將會非常、非常地樂在其中。」
Kelly 認為，在夏轉尾聲那一小段球迷再度狂幹死胖子的階段、
還有球隊高層無法兌現買人承諾的表現，拜帕肚的努力所賜，把壞影響降到了最低。
帕肚目前是英超九月份最佳主帥的候選人之一。
"I think massive credit goes to Alan Pardew.
「帕肚理應得到很高的讚揚。」
"I have spoken to a couple of friends up in Newcastle
and they say the spirit in the team is there for all to see.
「我和幾位仍在紐卡工作的朋友們聊過，他們都說球隊上下氣氛是顯而易見地好。」
"When you look at the situation in pre-season it is a big turnaround.
It's got to be big credit to Alan for the work he's put in.
「當你回頭看看我們季前的鳥樣，而現在轉變了這麼大。
你就可以知道帕肚做得多麼好，而他的努力該得到如何的評價了。」
"I don't think that it's unfair to call Newcastle a surprise package
in fourth place going into October, but to see them in the top four
is tremendous.
「我不覺得－－當球季進入十月，而紐卡還排在英超第四－－這不該令人驚訝。」
「但看到（這群年輕人）能把球隊穩定在第四名，還是棒透了。」
"I know Alan is a very organised manager and is very disciplined
with his players. But it is certainly working well at the moment."
「我知道帕肚是一位很系統化、也很嚴格要求球員的教練。」
「不過，他帶來的這些方式，顯然在紐卡運作地很好。」

第四根柱稱讚賭鬼（Llambias）、黑白蛋稍早也認為帕肚是非常棒的教練，
看來最近紐卡總算上了好久不見的軌道啊 (￣﹁￣||)
