標題[問題] SNMP 如何幫助統計封包數量?

We use Dartmouth traces collected from Jan. 2004 to Mar. 2004 on AP traffic
demands. Using 28 APs's SNMP files on Feb. 12, 2004, we extract the set of
packet sequence numbers for each 5-minute interval and calculate the number
of packets sent during this interval.
想請問大家的是，他提到利用28個AP的SNMP file，
他extract the set of packet sequence numbers for each 5-minute interval，
然後再計算出這段期間送出的封包數量。
請問平常我們用SNMP可以直接看到封包的數目統計嗎?
例如可以知道連續時間的封包數目變化，
如果可以，那他未何要xtract the set of packet sequence numbers?
這個動作是要達到什麼效果嗎?
