As the Nets workout schedule starts to take shape, it’s becoming apparent
that the teams is focusing on big men as well as defense. Teams can for the
first time work out players in a three-on-three format, permitting them to
take longer looks at larger numbers of players.
There’ll be some interesting matchups along the way:
Kevin Love vs. Anthony
Randolph on June 12,
JaVale McGee vs. Robin Lopez on June 5,
Brandon Rush vs.
Chase Budinger on June 6, and
Donte Green vs. Joe Alexander on June 11.
Several agents have told the Nets they will not be working out for the team,
including Michael Beasley, Derrick Rose and Brook Lopez. Brook’s twin, Robin
Lopez, is working out.
Here’s our list so far, derived mainly from reports in Thursday’s papers by
Dave D’Alessandro and Al Iannazzone.
