標題[情報] Boone Has Shoulder Surgery

Josh Boone, the second of the New Jersey Nets' two first-round draft picksr,
had surgery Wednesday on his left shoulder.
The arthroscopic surgery was performed by Dr. Riley Williams III at the
Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City. The former Connecticut forward
will wear a sling for two weeks and then begin his rehabilitation.
Nets president Rod Thorn said Boone experienced some discomfort in the
shoulder while playing for the Nets' summer league team in Florida.
"A subsequent MRI revealed the tear, and all parties involved felt that surgery
was the most prudent option at this juncture," Thorn said. "We expect him to
make a full recovery and to be a contributor to the team during the season."
The 6-foot-10, 240-pound forward was the 23rd pick overall in the draft.
He was taken right after the Nets drafted Marcus Williams, who also played
for the Huskies.
