Typhoons are nothing new to Tigers pitcher Fu-Te Ni , and his
interpreter "Fox ," but the powerful one that did so much damage
to their native Taiwan over the weekend, complete with footage of a
hotel falling into a river, spared their homes.
"My family is safe," Ni said. "There was no damage in my area."
Said Fox: "My Mom lost cable TV, that's all."
