C Luis Torrens to minor league camp.
(2) @BryanHoch: DJ LeMahieu (right foot) is going on the injured list, Brian
Cashman told reporters in Tampa.
(3) @BryanHoch: DJ LeMahieu (right foot) will undergo another MRI on Friday.
LeMahieu will remain behind in Tampa, Fla., and Aaron Boone said he didn't know
if LeMahieu might be ready by the April 5 home opener.
(4) @BryanHoch: Boone said that Oswaldo Cabrera is his backup SS right now, but
Cabrera is also the likely Opening Day 3B. Sounds like there could be a trade
in the works between now and Thursday.
(5) @BryanHoch: Boone said that Jahmai Jones and Ben Rortvedt remain in the mix
for roster spots. Austin Wells was told he made the team. Yanks could carry
3 catchers to begin the year.
(6) @Joelsherman1: Clayton Beeter told me he was informed he has made the
Yankees roster

Beeter won the competition here and will go to Houston. But if something better
pops on late waivers/trades b4 Thursday there is a chance at change.
(7) @BryanHoch: Yankees announce that Oscar Gonzalez has a right orbital
racture. He will remain in the hospital tonight for observation and rest.
(8) @NYYPlayerDev: The Yankees announced that OF Spencer Jones is the recipient
of the 2024 James P. Dawson Award, given annually to the most outstanding
Yankees rookie in spring training.
@spencerjnes has a .444 AVG, 7 R, 2 doubles, 1 HR, 4 RBI, & 5 BB in 13 spring
games and went 3-for-4 with 2 HR & 4 RBI in the Spring Breakout Game
