(1) @Yankees: Prior to today’s doubleheader, the Yankees made the following
roster moves:
‧ Signed RHP Zach McAllister (#29) to a Major League contract and selected him
to the active roster.
‧ Placed RHP Jonathan Loáisiga on the 15-day injured list (retroactive to
9/10) with right elbow inflammation.
Additionally, INF Anthony Rizzo was transferred to the 60-day injured list.
(2) @BryanHoch: Zach McAllister, just added to the Yankees' roster, hasn't
pitched in the Majors since 2018. He was originally drafted by the Yankees in
2006; they traded him to Cleveland for Austin Kearns in 2010.
2.1. @Joelsherman1: In 11 games (16.2 IP) at AAA, McAllister had a 1.62 ERA.
The righty joined the Yankees' farm system in early August after pitching at
AAA earlier this season for the Diamondbacks.
(3) @BryanHoch: Oswald Peraza is day to day with left knee inflammation. He had
an MRI a few days ago, per Aaron Boone.
(4) @BryanHoch: Oswald Peraza (knee) is doing better and should be in play off
the bench for today's doubleheader, Aaron Boone said.
(5) @BryanHoch: Ian Hamilton (groin) could be activated during the series in
Pittsburgh. Keynan Middleton (shoulder) is a little behind Hamilton; they're
looking at the homestand.
