大家還記得7/24對雙城的第三戰,八局上兩出局的時候
投手教練上來跟Mussina說了幾句話
今天剛好看到這則報導 有記者問了Mussina他們談話的內容
"Are you afraid of 100?" Mussina asked Dave Eiland out there on the mound.
"You want to do this, pitch to this guy?" Eiland asked about Denard Span.
"Yeah, let's go.
Get out of here," Mussina said.
Six pitches later, Mussina froze Span with a nasty curve and
walked off to
the sweet sound of a loud ovation. He waved his cap approaching the dugout
steps, his day done, very well done.
只能說穆帥是對的
"When you can walk off the field and feel good about what you've done, it's
fun," Mussina said after the Yankees' 5-1 win yesterday at the Stadium.

"He really didn't say much," Mussina recalled. "I kind of said, '
What are you
doing here?' I said, 'Are you afraid of 100 pitches?' Because I turned and
looked at the scoreboard and it said 99. I said, 'Are you afraid of 100?' He
said, 'What, you want to pitch to this guy?'
I said, 'Yeah, let's go. Get out of here.' He said, 'All right.' That was it."
