各位學弟妹好，我是政洋， 先跟大家道個歉，迷糊的我忘了讀書會教室只有10/29改成701A，等我看到時我人已經在 二活了，在此向在二活702B前面苦等的學弟妹們說聲報歉!10/29大家在討論的表現不錯喔! 雖然還是有點放不開(這可能跟學長姐還不熟的關係)，不過以第一次討論來說，幾乎大家 回去都有做功課，認真找資料，並把所找到資料以濃縮且精簡的方式呈現給大家，請大家 為自己的表現拍拍手~~~(掌聲)參加MUN的精神就是要敢把話出來，在會議場上拿到主導權 的往往是踴躍發言的國家代表。在意見相佐的時候，更是要把話出來，努力去協商磋合， 以達到多邊的共識。在討論過程中，其實就像在開一個會議，只是它是非正式的，所以有 意見要表達，不要害羞，就舉手，說出來，這樣子大家才能把新的觀點融入原本認知的觀 點做個整合。 呵呵該回到正事了，先把大家10/29早上討論的點做個整理: (由於我做筆記是用英文，因為寫英文字較快，所以下面的NOTES都是用英文 ^_^) Today's discussion: 1) Area presentation a) Africa : ★ what to do after decolonization ★ lack of confidence on development ★ pan-Africanism ★ dilemma of language transition ★ case: Uganda political parties are not empowered b) Latin : ★ social instability America ★ serious drug dealing and weapon problem ★ a burgeoning economy? risen gap between poor and rich ★ lack of systematic financial institutions c) South : ★ poverty stricken India Asia ★ future properity? the BRICs? d) East : ★ Asset reallocatoin ever since the fall of USSR Europe ★ frictions between cultures ★ political disturbance(ex: Kosovo,WW2 Hitler) ★ new comers rising up(ex: Slovenia, Croatia) e) North : ★ US/Canada prisoner's right, the right of voicing out America ★ refugee immigration problem ★ anti-Semitism ★ language barrier in Quebec(using French instead of English) ★ securtiy detention, against terrorist? or same to others? ★ Amnesty International as a regulator f) Middle : ★ Oil field exploitation East ★ World bank interventionism ★ Literacy and education ★ poverty 2) supplementary made by me(freeseagull) a) Declaration to the right to development (adopted by General Assembly resolution 41/128, 1986.12.04) Article one of this declaratoin has 3 main points, ★ inalienable right: meaning human right to develop is given at birth ★ process : dividing development in the categories of economy, social, culture, humanitarian, poltics etc..., and examine each with other sub topics. ★ everybody involve: everybody should be delighted and eager to join discussions on human development. b) subtopics mentioned in ★process are as follows ★declonization ★discrimination(regarding race, gender, religon) ★respect human rights ★nation's soverignity(concerning interventionism) ★disarmament ★government's determination to develop ★International law's assistance(ex: Amnesty International) c) helping guide ★concerning the definition in (2a) and the processes mentioned in (2b), I have divided some categories studies for you and are listed below: ●Lack of confidence in Africa ●India's poverty issue ●East Europe industrialization ●North america's discrimination ●Religious conflict in Indonesia ●Latin America's economic problem ●Intervention of oil exploitation in middle east Note: We reached a conclusion on "Lack of confidence in Africa" by concluding the contienent itself needs a sophisticated education system before it can put other things in mind. ★Questions on human rights (may be helpful for finding solutions) ●How does interventionism in all aspects(economic, socail, etc...) affect a nation's development? ●In the process of development, are there any discrimination against specific groups?If so, why and how can you improve it? ●How can fair distribution policy be implemented on the above categories?(please refer to the 5 topics above "Note") ●Is there anything the world can do to support and ease the problem? (using loans, creating ad hoc organizations, etc...) ●How can a development be a win-win situation for both policy making nations and nations accepting the policy? (try to minimize the disagreements between nations or continents) ★useful tools ● refer to news on cnn and bbc to find current events that are in accordance with your view ● don't type "development" when researching, using your savvy to distinguish the main concerns of a nation or country. (ex: type china's capital punishment to check for information on abusing human rights by capital punishment) ● last but not least, if there's any problems, give a ring to your bosses, us, for help ^_^ 好了看完這麼多英文東東，相信學弟妹已經眼花撩亂了 所以囉，休息一下，不要忘了你們還有期中考在等著你們呢! 所以寶貝蛋學弟妹們期中考要好好考， 但也不要忘了在下次讀書會11/19(sat)二活702B 900 前找好資料來跟大家分享喔 先這樣囉，BYEBYE~~~ --
