You let me fly so high Oh, you, you, you, the wind beneath my wings Oh, you, you, you, the wind beneath my wings Fly, fly, fly high against the sky So high I almost touch the sky Thank you, thank you Thank God for you, the wind beneath my wings *解 「Wind Beneath My Wings」原本為本首作詞人Larry Henley寫給他前妻的一首詩的標題 。 1982年，Larry Henley 與 Jeff Silbar兩人受聘為鮑布席格（Bob Seger）譜寫一首新歌 ，在交換意見的時候，席爾巴無意間瞥見亨利的筆記本上面寫著一句「Wind Beneath My Wings」，本身擁有飛機駕照的席爾巴立刻有了靈感，決定要用它為題來寫一首歌。兩人 討論的結果，完全放棄了亨利已經完成的詩句，只採用這個概念重新創作，由亨利作詞， 而席爾巴則負責譜曲，原本是首鄉村歌曲，因為被電影「情比姊妹深」選為主題曲，而再 度受到歡迎。 該部電影是描述一對手足情深的姊妹，因為姊姊的犧牲奉獻，使從事演藝事業的妹妹平步 青雲，無怨無悔的姊姊最後卻罹患了癌症。 隨著影片的上映，這首歌曲果然造成了空前的轟動，也使得這首原本描繪作丈夫的人對妻 子心懷感激的動人作品就此成為經典，在1989年六月十日奪得全美冠軍，也躋身BMI「二 十世紀百大」之林，成為有史以來被播唱次數最多的第四十一名經典。 --
