In Tamshui, there are 17 designated historical sites, including the foreign architecture of Fort San Domingo. Tamshui's - Inspiring Artistic Creativity During the Japanese colonial period (1895-1945), Tamshui was known to some as "Venice of the East," and down to the present day, the town has been a favorite scene for painters.
