由於最近英文作文寫到了排球 就意外的發現了這個好玩的鬼東西 但我發現大家約莫是會眼花撩亂 一天看一個好了... The volleyball glossary (排球術語) ANTENNA (out ball的那個竿子) The vertical rods along the outside edge of the net. ATTACK BLOCK Receiving players' aggressive (看到了嗎?打球的必備條件AG) attempt to block a spiked ball before it crosses the net. CROSS COURT SHOT (約莫快要塞那個洞了...) An individual attack directed at an angle from one end of the offensive team's side of the net to the opposite sideline of the defensive team's court. CUT SHOT (定三米) A spike from the hitter's strong side that travels at a sharp angle across the net. DECOY (調) An offensive play meant to disguise the spiker who will receive the set. DEEP SET Set to be hit away from the net to confuse the blockers. DIG (挖土機) Passing a spiked or rapidly hit ball. Slang for the art of retrieving an attacked ball close to the floor. FLOATER (漂浮球) A serve with no spin that follows an erratic path. FOREARM PASS (下手傳球) Join your arms from the elbows to the wrists and strike the ball with the fleshy part of your forearms in an underhand motion. FREE BALL (嗆司) A ball that will be returned by a pass rather than a spike. The receiving team should move into serve receive positions. HELD BALL (持球) A ball that comes to rest during contact resulting in a foul. JUNGLE BALL (排球麻瓜?) Any gathering of people who don't really know how to play volleyball. HIT (殺球) To jump and strike the ball with an overhand, forceful shot. OVERHAND PASS (連傳球手舉太高都有XD) A pass with both hands open, and controlled by the fingers, with the face below the ball. OVERHAND SERVE (上發) Serving the ball and striking it with the hand above the shoulder. POWER ALLEY (真正的塞那個洞) A cross court hit traveling away from the spiker to the farthest point of the court. ROOF (有包住下壓的那種攔網,用這個字真得很傳神對吧XD) To block a spike, usually straight down for a point. OFF SPEED SHOTS (名副其實的鳥球) Any ball spiked with less than maximum force but with spin. OVERHEAD PASS (托球) A ball-handling skill using both hands simultaneously to contact the ball above the head and direct it to the intended target. PANCAKE (燉燉的絕招!!這個名字好好笑XD) A one-hand floor defensive technique where the hand is extended and slid along the floor palm down while the player dives or extension rolls, so that the ball bounces off the back of the hand. READY POSITION (到位) The flexed, yet comfortable, posture a player assumes before moving to the point of contact. SERVE (發球) One of the six basic skills; used to put the ball into play. It is the only skill controlled exclusively by one player. SET (舉球) The tactical skill in which a ball is directed to a point where a player can spike it into the opponent's court. OFFSIDE BLOCK (越界) Player at the net which is on the side away from the opponent's attack. SPIKE (攻擊) Also hit or attack. A ball contacted with force by a player on the offensive team who intends to terminate the ball on the opponent's floor or off the opponent's blocker.
