Nice to meet you! I'm one of the member of this club and I love JAZZ, too! I know only 2 restaurants where there's routine live Jazz band playing in Taipei. One is on the 光復北路上,過了八德路後就看到的,只是那間餐廳在underground 且門口很小,不太起眼,店名叫"爵士音樂餐廳" 晚上大約9:30分以後才有jazz band出現,週末營業到零晨,裡面有set dinner and quite a lot of drinks for you to choose! I have been there once and feel good except I doubt why the internal decoration seems kind of weird >.< I don't mean that it's not good but... well, go ahead and take a look around it! The other one is on the 敦化南路四或五段上的一間名為New YORK New YORK Jazz restaurant,那餐廳也是晚上才有live show,I went there just for excuse...(借toilet only) >.< umm... There's nothing much to say about the food but the environment is pretty nice! especially the service^^ the waiter guided me the way to washroom. The performance of these 2 live band playing~~~I have no comment@.@ Since I'm a beginner to Jazz, I know just some Jazz musicians and the history of Jazz... I wanna someone show me around the original place of Jazz... Finally, I think you can write down what kind of Jazz music you wanna get, there're a lot of jazz知識份子 come to this board and I'm sure they will probably give you some suggestions!
