The training program's purpose is to help students gain an insight into the realities of management consulting over a 3-month period. The first program will begin in December and run until the end of February 2007, and will cover a wide range of activities and events: Introduction to McKinsey—understand what consulting is about, what consultants do, how they make an impact Mini-consulting training—receive McKinsey problem solving training Case study workshop—conduct a 6-week case study to experience the entire cycle of a typical McKinsey project Cross-strait dialog—hold a video conference with scholars in China to discuss business and life issues. All activities will be held either on a Friday afternoon or on a Saturday to avoid scheduling conflicts. Scholars will work in teams on a case project under the mentorship of an experienced consultant.
