試題 :
1.At 293.15K the density of water is 0.998234g cm^(-3) and at 294.15K it is
0.998022g cm^(-3) under 1 atm of pressure. Estimate the thermal expansion
coefficient α for water at 1 atm. Where α=(1/V)(∂V/∂T)p
2.Determine the number of degrees of freedom for the following systems:
(a)A solution of potassium chloride in the water at the equilibrium pressure.
(b)Ice in a solution of water and alcohol.
3.From figure A, calculate the ratio of the mass of the water-rich layer to
that of the nicotine-rich layer, for a 40wt% water nicotine mixture at 350K.
4.The isobaric solubility diagram for the system acetic acid-toluene-water is
shown in the figure B, What phase(s) and their composition(s) will be present
if 0.2 mole of toluene is added to a system consisting of 0.5 mole of water
and 0.3 mole of acetic acid? Give the relative amounts of each phase.
5.The transport numbers for HCl at infinite dilution are estimated to be
t+=0.821 and t-=0.179 and the molar conductivity is 426.16Ω^(-1)cm^2mol^(-1)
Calculate the mobilities of the hydrogen and chloride ions.
6.A solution of LiCl at a concentration of 0.01M is contained in a tube having
a cross-sectional area of 5cm^2. Calculate the speeds of the Li+ and Cl- ions
if a current of 1A is passed. The ion conductivities
λ(Li+)=38.6Ω^(-1)cm^2mol^(-1), λ(Cl-)=76.4Ω^(-1)cm^2mol^(-1).
7.The electrolytic conductivity of a 0.001M solution of NaSO4 is
2.6*10^(-4)Ω^(-1)cm^(-1). If the solution is saturated with CaSO4, the
conductivity becomes 7*10^(-4)Ω^(-1)cm^(-1). Calculate the solubility product
for CaSO4. The molar conductivities:
λ(Na+)=50.1Ω^(-1)cm^2mol^(-1), λ(1/2Ca2+)=59.5Ω^(-1)cm^2mol^(-1)
8.The vapor pressure of n-C5H12 at 25℃ is 0.674 bar, and that of n-C6H14 is
0.198 bar.
(a)Calculate the partial pressure of each substance and the total pressure
over a solution containing x(n-C5H12)=0.25. Assume that these substances form
an ideal solution.
(b)What is the composition of the vapor phase in equilibrium with the solution
described in (a)?
(c)Draw the phase diagram including liquid line and vapor line.
(d)The pressure over such a solution containing x(n-C5H12)=0.5 at 25℃ is
reduced until the solution begins to boil. At what pressure will the solution
begin to boil? What is the composition of the first bubble of vapor?
(e)If total pressure is reduced to 0.35 bar, what is the ratio of liquid
to vapor?
9.Define the following words
(a)Allotrope
(b)Eutectic halt
(c)Salting-out
