1. Describe the 3 disadvantage points and advantage points for paper in
cooking pots.
2. (a) please describe the possible reasons for Fukushima nuclear plant
accident?
(b) try to think 5 possible ways to avoid Fukushima nuclear plant accident in
advance.
3. calculate the angle between C-H bonding in methane. Use the concept of
angle between 2 directions in a crystal structure.
4.(a) describe the definition of hexagonal and monoclinic structure.
(b)draw the (213) plane in a cubic structure.
5. the metal iridium has FCC crystal structure. If the angle of diffraction
for the (220) set of planes occurs at 69.22 degree (first order) when the
X-radiation having a wavelength of 0.1542 nm is used. Calculate the
interplanar spacing for the set of planes and the atomic radius for an
iridium atom.
