Give your own critique of Andeson's theory, discuss what you agree and disagree with him. (10 points) 2. Define 'cognitive authority.' What are the possible cues we as information seekers can use to infer the 'cognitive authority' of information and information source (e.g. a website, a scholarly journal, or a blog)? (5 points) 3. Digital and internet technologies has brought enormous changes in the way cultural products are created, received, and disseminated. Some of these changes are documented in our readings: In "Books gone wild: the digital age reshapes literature" the author talked about the potential impacts of digital technology on how literature is created and disseminated. In "The e-book, the e-reader, and the future of reading" and "The future of reading", the authors disscussed how the experience of reading might evolve with the growing populariry of e-book and e-reader. Based on these readings, explain the institutional and technological backdrops of these recent events. Do you see a general trend underlying the aforementioned phenomena? What do they have in common and what specific institutional contexts separate them from each other?
