為農漁勞工祈願 A Prayer for Farmers, Fishery Workers, and Laborers 星雲大師 Venerable Master Hsing Yun ﹝中文 Chinese﹞ 慈悲偉大的佛陀！ 我們要向農漁勞工表示由衷的感謝， 我們要向農漁勞工提出祈願與祝福， 因為有了他們， 人類的生活才得以豐衣足食， 國家的存在才得以安和樂利， 社會的經濟才得以繁榮進步， 實業的發展才得以穩定成長。 慈悲偉大的佛陀！ 您可曾看到農民的辛酸？ 一次的風雨來襲， 可能讓他們損失慘重； 一次的害蟲肆虐， 可能讓他們心血白費。 作為一個農民， 他們必須經過多少次寒暑的考驗， 才能享受豐碩的收成！ 慈悲偉大的佛陀！ 您可曾聽過漁民的心聲？ 他們做的是殺害的行為， 但他們過的是辛苦的生活。 從事海洋漁業的人， 惡浪可能把他們捲走， 鯊魚可能將他們吞噬。 從事養殖漁業的人， 一次廢水污染， 可能讓他們血本無歸； 一次瘟疫傳染， 可能讓他們傾家蕩產。 佛陀啊！佛陀！ 祈求您包容他們雖有殺業， 但沒有殺心； 祈求您寬恕他們求生的功過。 慈悲偉大的佛陀！ 您可曾了解勞工的艱難？ 一次的意外發生， 可能讓他全們家生活沒有著落； 一次的職業病變， 可能讓他們倒臥在床無法工作。 作為一個勞工， 他們必須經過多少次困境的淬煉， 才能擁有成功的事業！ 慈悲偉大的佛陀！ 我們要為農漁勞工祈願， 希望國家能給他們多一點照顧， 希望政府能給他們多一點優惠， 希望社會能給他們多一點關懷， 希望大眾能給他們多一點協助。 慈悲偉大的佛陀！ 我們祈願天下所有的農漁勞工， 都能擁有福利大眾的願心， 都能發揮互助合作的美德， 都能鼓舞突破困難的勇氣， 都能具有改良創新的抱負。 更祈求您， 加被天下所有的人， 學習農漁勞工腳踏實地的精神， 為人類謀求幸福的利益； 學習農漁勞工純樸敦厚的精神， 為世界創造美好的未來。 慈悲偉大的佛陀！ 請求您接受我們至誠的祈願， 慈悲偉大的佛陀！ 請求您接受我們至誠的祈願。 ﹝英文 English﹞ Oh great, compassionate Buddha! Because of them, Our people do indeed live in affluence; Our country does indeed exist in security; Our society's economy does indeed progress and prosper; Our industries do indeed expand steadily. Oh great, compassionate Buddha! Have you witnessed the hardship of farmers? The attack of a single storm can cause them disastrous loss, the ravages of one insect pest can make their efforts fruitless. A farmer must go through many seasons of trail to enjoy a bountiful harvest. Oh great, compassionate Buddha! Have you ever listened to the hearts of fishery workers? Although they are engaged in ending the lives of beings, they do indeed endure a hard life. Those who are engaged in marine fisheries may be swept by huge, pounding waves, or may be devoured by sharks. For those who breed fish for market, the contamination of one stretch of water may result in no return on their hard-earned investment; The infectious spread of but one epidemic may exhaust their wealth. Oh Buddha! Buddha! We pray to you to understand them: Because they possess the karma resulting from killing, but do not kill for killing's sake. We pray to you to forgive the demerits made necessary by survival. Oh great, compassionate Buddha! Have you realized the hardship of laborers? The occurrence of one accident may cause the entire family to lose support; The occurrence of one work-related injury may immobilize them and make them unable to earn a living. Laborers must endure the tempering of numerous adversities so they can succeed in their occupations. Oh great, compassionate Buddha! We would like to pray for our farmers, fishery workers, and laborers: May our nation give them more care; May our government show them more favor; May our society show them more concern; May our people give them more help. Oh great, compassionate Buddha! We pray that all farmers, fishery workers, and laborers of the world be able to: Have the heart of willingness to benefit the masses; Bring into full play the virtue of helping and cooperating with each other; Finding the courage to overcome all adversities; Have the ambition to improve and create. We also pray that you bless all people in the world: May they see the willingness of farmers, fishery workers, and laborers to be simple, sincere, and honest, and create a wonderful future for the world.
