I must be strong and carry on 'cause I know I don't belong here in heaven 在西洋搖滾樂壇，素有「吉他之神」美稱的 Eric Clapton（艾瑞克．萊普頓） 在年近五十歲的時候，老來得子，他才有一個兒子，那種歡欣可以想見， 但是 造化弄人， 在 1991 年，才四歲大的愛子竟然從紐約５３層樓高的公寓住家， 意外摔下身亡。那種慟，Eric 將心中的悲傷，滿滿地， 寫成抒情歌〈 Tears in Heaven 〉——淚灑天堂，來紀念亡兒。 「你還記得我的名字嗎，如果我們在天堂相遇，」——這首歌的開頭幾句就已經 夠感傷，Eric 甚至想跟他兒子去天堂，想像著他們可以在天堂相遇，但是，他告 訴自己要堅強，他終究可以走過這一段喪子之慟，他相信天堂將不再有淚。 　　喪子之後，從幾近崩潰、逃避於毒品，到悼念愛子，Eric 藉由寫下這首至情 至性的〈 Tears in Heaven 〉重回創作舞台。歌聲與吉他聲中，道盡了遙想的思 念，真摯的惆悵，這首歌幾乎是人人會唱，這首歌也獲得９３年葛萊美獎的年度唱 片、年度歌曲、最佳流行男歌手演唱獎，三大獎。〈Tears in Heaven〉， 曲調雖然簡單，可是令人動容，值得分享。 --
