Homework
1) Retrieve a full-length cDNA coding for at least 2 domains from database
(with accession number);
show the DNA and protein sequences and the domain regions;
predict motifs;
design primers (forward and reverse) for cloning into pEGFP-C1 and pEGFP-N1
vector (2-3 pages)
2) Read one of the assigned articles
(Science 321:1499, 2008; Trends Microbiol 16:414, 2008).
Write a one-page research proposal in the following order:
1)background/significance,
2) hypothesis,
3) specific aims/anticipated results,
4) impact. Do not copy and paste.
3) Homework due on September 30, 2008, 5 pm. English only.
