Fortune has beckoned to me too often, but always just tortures me as a Tantalus. Ranging from petty invoice, raffle ticket, to colossal lottery, it is never my lot to be drawn. As far as my memory can trace back, it is about one and half a year ago that I won my nearest prize-- a bookstore VIP card, in every way like a consolation prize. However, what's more ridiculous is that I have been none the less a faithful votary of chance. Therefore, I still suffer quite often, whenever prizes for free are bloodily dangled before me. Sighing after sigh is ten to one the scenario awaiting me; my name is seldom to be envied by the craning public. Capricorn, my sign, is to blame for the poor luck. As every figure shows, Capricorn is like a drudge who snatches every bit of fortune through disproportional labors-- that is, endless hard work can merely beget passable, or at most just, rewards. Pitiful. Free lunch! Free lunch! Thou art but a mirage! a will-'o-the-wisp! -- 一字不識而多詩意 一偈不參而多禪意 一句不濡而多酒意 一石不曉而多畫意 --
